Home Screen


This is the Perfect & Merge applications landing page where all the added sessions are listed.

Select Sessions: You can filter the sessions list by selecting one of the following option:

  • All
  • Active
  • Inactive
  • Suppressed Group

Session Sorting: The session view can be sorted by:

  • Ascending
  • Descending

This is done by hovering over the column title and using the drop down menu.

Match Status:

  • Match Process Pending
  • Match Process Started
  • Feeding Primary data
  • Feed Completed
  • Feeding Secondary data
  • Feed Process Completed
  • Saving Match Results for Batch
  • Analysing Group Validity for Batch
  • Match Process Completed

Session Status: There are 7 different statuses for a session:

  • Match Pending: When the session is created, but not yet started.
  • Match in Progress: When the matching process is running for the session.
  • Matched: When the matching process completed for the session.
  • Review in Progress: When a user has not finished reviewing the groups from the session.
  • Reviewed: When all the groups reviewed from the session.
  • Merged: All records in the session are merged by SmartMerge service.
  • On Hold: Package limit (Records fed in match engine) exceeded for the ‘Production’ customer type.

Session Action: Action for you to perform on the session:

  • Start: On click, starts the matching process for the session. The session row will turn grey until the match process has completed.
  • Clone: Clicking on the 'Clone' option will create an exact copy of the source session.
  • Review: This will take you to the 'Session Results' screen which displays the questionable matching results.

Note: Not all options will display at once and will show depending on what state the session is currently in.


Session Options

Create New Session: This button is to create a new session.

Delete: This button lets you delete an existing session.

Refresh: This lets you refresh the page.

Toggle Active/Inactive: This allows you to toggle whether a session is in the active state or the inactive state.


Session Scheduling

To create/edit/remove a session schedule Double-Click on the clock icon inline with the session you wish to schedule.

If you are creating a schedule, a confirmation box will appear:

Otherwise, a window like this will appear:

1. Session Details:

Session: This is the name of the session you are scheduling.

Entity: Which table this session is checking.

2. Schedule Frequency

This is how often you would like the schedule to run:

  • Once
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly

3. Running Dates

These sections allow you to set duration you want the session to run.

Note: After the end date the schedule will be set as inactive.

4. Time of Run

This box lets you specify a time for the session to run.

Note: Try to schedule to avoid operational hours.

5. Action Type

  • Merge
  • Link

These let you choose whether to Merge any duplicates that are found or link them

6. Schedule Actions

  • Auto Fill All - Fills the Master Record from the 'Set Display and Auto Fill' rules.
  • Auto Promote All - Promotes the Master Record from the 'Set Best Record' rules.
  • Auto Exact & Bulk Merge All - Bulk merges all the duplicate records which are defined as exact.
  • Auto Promote All - Auto Fill All - Combines the functions defined above.
  • Auto Fill All - Auto Accept & Bulk Merge All - Combines the functions defined above.
  • Auto Promote All - Auto Accept & Bulk Merge All - Combines the functions defined above.
  • Auto Promote All - Auto Fill All - Auto Accept & Bulk Merge All - Combines the functions defined above.

7. Schedule State

Here you can set the state of the schedule.

8. Maximum Clones

Every time the schedule runs it will create a clone of the original. The time and date of run will be appended to the title. This allows you to see the matches the new session has made compared to previous.
